Gujarat Giants look to return to winning ways against UP Yoddhas.

Wednesday night’s double panga in vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9 promises to be another enthralling spectacle at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. Gujarat Giants will square off against U.P. Yoddhas in the first game while Bengaluru Bulls take on Tamil Thalaivas in the second match.

Match 28: Gujarat Giants vs U.P. Yoddhas

Gujarat Giants will be keen to bounce back after suffering a loss in their last match. They have won one, lost two and tied one game so far heading into the clash against U.P. Yoddhas. From the raiding point of view, Rakesh will be the Giants’ main man in offence having already accumulated 44 raid points, while Parteek Dhaiya with 15 raid points has been their next best raider. In defence, Sourav Gulia, Arkam Shaikh and Shankar Gadai have been the Giants’ best performers with 10, eight and seven tackle points respectively.

U.P. Yoddhas, on the other hand, will be entering the contest with lots of confidence after a win in their last match. The Yoddhas have won twice and lost two matches so far with their star raiders Surender Gill and Pardeep Narwal showing glimpses of what they are capable of. While Gill has scored 47 raid points this season, Pardeep has managed 33 in four games. On the defensive front, Ashu Singh has been their best defender with 13 tackle points, while the established defensive duo of Nitesh Kumar and Sumit have accounted for 10 and eight tackle points respectively. 

Gujarat Giants vs U.P. Yoddhas head-to-head

Gujarat Giants and U.P. Yoddhas have faced each other seven times. Out of which, Gujarat Giants have won four matches whereas U.P. Yoddhas have won once. Two matches were tied. 

Match 29: Bengaluru Bulls vs Tamil Thalaivas

After a good start to the season that saw them win their first two games, Bengaluru Bulls lost their last two matches and will be eager to return to winning ways. Most of the responsibility will fall on the shoulders of Vikash Kandola and Bharat as they have been the team’s standout raiders so far. Kandola has been their best player in offence with 35 raid points, while Bharat has managed 34 raid points in Season 9. As far as the defence goes, Saurabh Nandal has been the team’s go-to tackler with 12 tackle points, while the likes of Aman (10 tackle points) and Mahender Singh (7 tackle points) have also had an impact.

Tamil Thalaivas, meanwhile, will be confident in their ability after picking up their first win of the season last time around. Narender has been a revelation for the Thalaivas this season and is their lead raider at the moment having amassed 37 raid points in four games. He will be supported by Himanshu Singh, whose game-changing 11 raid points as a substitute in Tamil Thalaivas’ last game helped them register their first win of the campaign. Talking about their defence, skipper Sagar has been one of their top tacklers with 11 tackle points in Season 9. Sahil Gulia has also contributed 11 tackle points for the Thalaivas so far, while M. Abishek is their next best defender with six tackle points.

Bengaluru Bulls vs Tamil Thalaivas Steelers head-to-head

Bengaluru Bulls and Tamil Thalaivas have squared off in 10 matches. Out of these, Bengaluru Bulls have won eight matches while Tamil Thalaivas have won twice.
