The Sports School Badminton Academy with technical partners Badminton Gurukul and Padma Bhushan Pullela Gopichand as Chief Mentor strives to provide the best training methods to our students to groom their willingness to play the sport and turn it into a full-fledged profession. This is a professional academy which will be providing training at the intermediate and professional levels, at the same time ensuring full-fledged guidance for the young badminton enthusiasts.    

Pullela Gopichand is a globally renowned Indian Badminton player, former All England Champion, the Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team, IOC coach of the year awardee and the Founder Director of Badminton Gurukul. He has received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award in 2014. Some of the top badminton players coached by him include P. V. Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap, Srikanth Kidambi, B SAI Praneeth, RMV Gurusaidutt, Sikki Reddy, Satwik SAI Raj and many more.

adminton Gurukul, an initiative by Pullela Gopichand, is a platform to promote physical literacy & grow badminton in the country by making excellence accessible to create positive playing experiences  through quality coaching, imparted in an organised and systematic manner,  using the collective knowledge of achievers while  promoting joy and happiness through sports and high quality sporting events.
